Abstract

In a pipe connection to a steam turbine casing the pipe is made of an alloy steel containing 18 per cent. chromium, 8 per cent. nickel, and 1 per cent. or 2 per cent. niobium whilst the sealing rings contain 19 per cent. chromium, 1 per cent. nickel, 3 per cent. tungsten, and 1 per cent. niobium.
