717,400. Stop motions for looms. NEUMUNSTERSCHE MASCHINEN-UND APPARATEBAU-GES. Oct. 10. 1952 [Oct. 22, 1951], No. 25500/52. Class 142(2) When a shuttle fails to box the swell is not moved and a lever 3 in contact therewith remains stationary so that a member 1 carried by the lever strikes a latch 6 and causes it to pivot about a pin 7 to release a coupling element 10 from a complementary element 8. The element 10 is acted on by a torsion spring 14 which causes the released element to rotate and, by means of a ball joint 11 and linkage 13, operate a belt shift on a driving wheel 21. The loom can be stopped by a hand lever 19 which disengages a driving clutch and applies a brake.
