Abstract

716,729. Scaffolding. VIGIER, W. A. DE. Dec. 18, 1952 [Jan. 1, 1952], No. 74/52. Class 20 (2) A scaffold comprises units, Fig. 4, arranged parallel to the structure being scaffolded, each formed of two standards a<SP>1</SP>, a<SP>2</SP> connected by a ledger b, and the clamps d for the putlogs or trunnions f, Fig, 1, are above the ledger. A hand rail c is also provided. The clamps may be integral with the ledgers or with the putlogs. The scaffold may comprise two parallel sets of units connected by transoms f or a single set of units connected to a wall by putlogs. The unit frames are erected on one another by means of sockets h. A member x may connect the units by means of sockets x<SP>1</SP>. Units in line are joined by inclined and horizontal braces having integral couplings, Fig. 3 (net shown).
