Abstract

715,227. Induction heating. PHILIPS ELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES, Ltd. April 17, 1952 [April 20, 1951], No. 9692/52. Class 39 (3) Clamps, comprising fixed and relatively movable parts 1, 2 and 5, 6 respectively, between which a work-coil 10 is held, are bolted to the secondary winding of a high frequency transformer through apertures 3, 4 and cooling channels are provided in the parts for the circulation of a cooling agent. The parts 5, 6 are adjustable by bolts 8, and coolant circulates in the direction of the arrows, certain of the outlets 9 being interconnected by rubber tubing. The contact surfaces between the clamp and work-coil are sufficiently large to dissipate the heat produced in the coil.
