Abstract

714,240. Jaw crushers. PARKER. Ltd., F., and PARKER. F. W. Dec. 11, 1953 [Dec. 22. 1952], No. 32426/52. Class 59 [Also in Group XXIV] A toggle plate for a jaw crusher is formed at one of its thrust-transmitting edges with a spherical or part-spherical head and the other edge of the plate is rounded. In the form shown, the toggle plate 10 is of generally rectangular form and is formed at the centre of one edge with a hemi-spherical head 17 which is received in a cup-shaped recess in a seating 20 mounted in a groove block 11. the other edge of the toggle plate being rounded at 12 to bear against a seating 14 housed in a frame 13 mounted in a groove 5 of the jaw stock 3. The seating 20 is preferably provided with lubricating channels. The toggle plate may be made adjustable in its effective width i.e. may have relatively moving parts which are adjustable, e.g. hydraulically or mechanically. Either or both of the toggle plates of double toggle jaw crushers may be formed similarly to the above-described toggle plate.
