522,953. Shear-blades. FABRIKSAKTIEBOLAGET HALDATAXAMETERN, and OSTBERG, K. G. Dec. 20, 1938, No. 37064. [Class 83 (iv)] Shear-blades are formed of square cross-sectioned shanks with cutting edges limited by end surfaces 8, 9 and side surfaces 12, 14. The surfaces 8, 9 are inclined to form cutting edges 2, 4 which converge in the direction of feed and the side surfaces 12, 14 are curved to diverge at an increasing angle in the same direction. The surfaces 12, 14 may be convex piano convex or concave and convex. The longitudinal edges of the tool are rounded.
