Class 103(1) In a triple valve assembly for compressed air brakes for railway vehicles comprising a plurality of diaphragm controlled valve units responsive to the pressures in the control reservoir and main pipe, each valve unit being provided with a longitudinally movable central body Z associated with at least one diaphragm m, the valve units are contained within a single piece casing G by members D positively secured to said casing. This form of construction greatly simplifies assembly. The securing members D act to clamp the outer edges of a diaphragm member m. Where a valve unit has two diaphragms, an intermediate member 9 slidable on the valve body by a packing member 10 is interposed between them.
