Class 78 (1) In a screw conveyer system for transferring solid fuel from a bunker d to boiler fire box, independently driven conveyers e, f are provided: the former of which transfers the fuel from the bunker to a box c at the bottom of a stand-by hopper t and the latter of which conveys it to the fire box, so that in the case of failure of the conveyer e, the supply of fuel is maintained temporarily by the conveyer f with fuel drawn from the stand-by hopper.
