Abstract
713,839. Gas turbine plant. ENTICKNAP, A. Oct. 27, 1952 [July 25, 1951; June 19, 1952], Nos. 1966/51 and 15512/52. Class 110(3) A gas turbine plant comprises in combination means to deliver air from a compressor rotor 14 to a stationary combustion chamber 28, means to guide the combustion products into a high-pressure rotor 34 and an oppositely-rotating co-axial low-pressure rotor 35 'located within the highpressure rotor so as to receive the gases radially inwards therefrom and to discharge them axially, one of said rotors being mounted on the compressor-rotor shaft and the other on a power output shaft. A row of fixed nozzle blades may be incorporated between the combustion chamber and the high-pressure turbine rotor. In a modification, Fig. 3 (not shown), the compressor is driven by the high-pressure turbine. The com-. pressor rotor 14 is preferably formed in one piece with its shaft 13.
