Classes 79(3) and 79(4) [Also in Group XXXII] In a passenger motor vehicle of cellular construction an end cell comprising a vehicle axle has such a weight distribution that its centre of gravity is arranged between the respective end of the vehicle and the axle, the end cell being provided with a bumper so positioned that, when the cell is separated from the adjacent cell, it tilts under its own weight on to the bumper. As shown the vehicle is formed of three cells A, B, C each with a frame a, b, c. The end cells B, C each carry a wheel axle and have their centres of gravity G<SP>1</SP>, G<SP>2</SP> disposed outwardly of the axles, and the cells B, C are connected to the middle cell by releasable pivotal connections f, h and releasable connections g, i. The middle cell A carries jacks k, I having ground engaging rollers m, n. To disconnect the three cells firstly the connections g, i are released, then the jacks are extended and the end cells B, C then pivot about connections f, h until bumpers d, e contact the grounds and finally the pivotal connections f, h are released.
