Abstract

Rubber is preserved by means of dicyclohexylamine. In examples, light coloured stocks are produced by mixing pale crepe rubber, blanc fixe, zinc oxide, titanium dioxide, stearic acid, tetramethyl thiuram disulphide and sulphur either with dicyclohexylamine alone or with dicyclohexylamine and 2:4 dimethyl-6-octyl phenol, 2:6 dimethyl-4-octyl phenol or 2:6 di tertiary butyl 4-methyl phenol.
