Abstract

711,434. Fluid flow indicator. NORMALIER, Ltd. Sept. 12, 1952 [Sept. 27, 1951], No. 22602/51. Class 97(2) [Also in Group XXXIII] A fluid flow indicator adapted to detect leaks in the wall of a pressurized space (see Group XXXIII) comprises a tube h in which is a vane j mounted on a spindle m supported by ball bearings k. The spindle carries two light leaf springs n, whose motion is limited by the stop o, and whose inner faces are luminous. The vane rotates at a speed depending on the pressure difference between ends of the tube, and by centrifugal force, a corresponding apparent luminous area is seen from the left hand end of the tube as shown. Such an indicator may be provided at each end of the tube.
