[Also in Group XXII] The core or cores 1, 2, 3 of a cable are enclosed in a metal sheath 20 of flattened cross-section which is provided with transverse or helical corrugations 26 extending completely around the sheath and in contact with the core or cores at least over part of their length. Multicore cables are preferably arranged so that the cores lie parallel to each other and in a single plane.
