Abstract

A liquid soldering flux consists of a heavy metal chloride, e.g. zinc, tin or cadmium chloride; ammonium chloride; water in an amount at least sufficient to dissolve such chlorides; a liquid wetting agent, e.g. ethylene or propylene glycol, or glycerin; and less than 10 per cent. by weight of a liquid amine hydrochloride, e.g. aniline hydrochloride or ethylene diamine hydrochloride.
