Abstract

A bonding composition for use in the bonding of surfaces of nylon consists of nylon dissolved in resorcinol and diluted by the addition of an alcohol (e.g. methyl alcohol, ethyl alcohol or higher aliphatic alcohol). The composition is spread on the two nylon surfaces and bonding effected by heating at 120-200 DEG C. at a pressure up to 300 lbs. per square inch. Specification 634,422 is referred to.
