Class 39 (3) The heater comprises a pair of metal discs a slotted at d from opposite edges to form zigzag resistances united in parallel by a narrow neck b bent so that the discs are parallel, and a thin copper plate f is placed between the discs and is insulated therefrom by mica discs g. Further mica discs e are placed on the outside of the heater, which has terminals c and is used for heating a bimetal element serving to actuate a switch or valve. The copper plate f forms a heat-equalizing plate and may comprise two or more separable or relatively adjustable parts f<SP>1</SP>, f<SP>2</SP>.
