Abstract

710,281. Injectors. MUFFETT, A..K. Sept. 12, 1952 [Sept. 14, 1951], No. 21600/51. Class 71. A water actuated liquid ejector suitable for emptying a wash tub 11, Fig. 2, is of T-shape and has its stem 2 connected to a duct 10 extending into the tub, the inlet end of the head 1 connected to a water tap 6 whilst its outlet end is connected to waste through a conduit 8; the working nozzle comprising a restriction 5, Fig. 1, in the head and adjacent the water tap side of the stem 2, and the bore of the water tap side of the head being of less diameter than that at the outlet and both being less than the bore of the stem 2. To convert the device for filling the tub, the outlet of the head connected to the duct 8 is closed by a flanged bayonet cap 15, Fig. 4, having resilient packing 16. The injector may be enclosed in a two part spherical cover.
