Abstract
A process for the surface treatment of light alloy components, such as castings, comprises blasting with light alloy shot or grit. The alloy may comprise 16.5 per cent. Cu, 0.4 per cent Mn, 1.4 per cent. Fe, 0.3 per cent. Si and the balance Al.
