Aluminium base alloys for use in bearings consist of (1) Cu 4.5 per cent., Mn 0.6 per cent., Mg 1.5 per cent., Al balance; (2) Mg 2.5 per cent., Cr 0.25 per cent., Al balance; (3) Cu 0.25 per cent., Mg 1.0 per cent., Cr. 0.25 per cent., Si 0.6 per cent., Al balance; (4) Sn 6.5 per cent., Cn 1.0 per cent., Ni 0.5 per cent., Si 1.5 per cent., Al balance; (5) Cd 4.0 per cent., Si 4.0 per cent., Al balance; (6) Pb 1.0 per cent., Si 4.0 per cent., Al balance.
