Abstract

708,840. Cleaning tubes. KLEEN-E-ZE BRUSH CO., Ltd. Sept. 2, 1952 [Sept. 6, 1951], No. 21075/51. Class 99 (2). [Also in Group XXIII] A bullet brush, more particularly for cleaning condenser tubes, comprises a twisted wire core 1 with loops of thinner wire 2 held therebetween, the core being provided with a cupping washer 5 spaced from the end of the loops. In the space there may be provided a brush formed of wire, bristle or fibre filaments 3 twisted into the core, by a wooden cone or a flanged sleeve, Figs. 2 and 3 (not shown). The cupping washer may be supported by a leather, rubber or fibre washer 4 and a metal washer 6 soldered or otherwise fixed to the core. The wire loops may be formed from two continuous lengths of wire.
