708,454. Flushing water-closets. CASTALDI, G. Oct. 26, 1951 (Nov. 18, 1950], No. 25055/51. Class 26 Flushing apparatus for waterclosets comprises a cistern supported in a recess in a wall, readily opened or removable closing means for the recess, and flushing control means also enclosed in the wall. As shown, supports 4 for the cistern 1 are provided in the opposite corners of a recess 3 having a cover plate 17 held in position by screws 18 engaging lugs 2 on the cistern. Flushing is effected by a button 13 which actuates the control lever 8 through a control wire 7 passing over a grooved pulley 15, a duct 6 and a recess 9 closed by a removable plate 10 containing the control means. The flushing pipe 5 also is concealed in the wall.
