705,360. Oil vapour diffusion pumps. EASTMAN KODAK CO. Nov. 28, 1952 [Nov. 30, 1951], No. 30160/52. Class 71. In an oil diffusion pump comprising interconnected concentric boiler compartments 38, 39, 40 from which vapours at different pressures ascend concentric chimneys 35, 36, 37 to nozzles formed by their upper open ends and caps 44, 45, 43 and located between inlet and outlet ports 22, 26, pump fluid is drained from the inner boiler compartment 40 into a sump 54 and. gases are conveyed from the sump through means e.g., a conduit 58 into a chimney e.g., the chimney 36 other than the one leading from the boiler 11 to the jet nearest the inlet 22. A dam 31 in a forepressure duct 27 collects condensate which is drained through a plugged conduit 32.
