Class 20 (3) The tendency of walls to crack at the angles of openings provided for rectangular door and window frames is minimized by shielding the sharp outer corners of the frame by a structure presenting an outer convex surface and building or casting the wall material up to this surface. In the metal frame shown in the Figure, the sharp corners 3 are shielded for this purpose by bent strips 6 which may be welded to the frame members 4 and 5 or built into position during the construction of the wall.
