Abstract

704,095. Kinematograph apparatus. SPECTO, Ltd. May 15, 1952 [May 18, 1951], No. 11678/51 Class 97(1) A camera wherein a magazine is inserted or withdrawn in a direction parallel to the path of the film where engaged by a feed claw has means to prevent the claw engaging the film as the magazine is inserted or withdrawn. As shown, the claw 5 is attached to a member 6 forked to embrace a cam 13 which produces the movements for feeding the film 4. The member 6 is pivoted at 18 to a member 15 pivoted at 16 and kept by a spring 17 in contact with a cam 14 which produces the engaging movements of the claw. The member 6 carries a pin 9 which when acted on by the pivoted lever 7 holds the member 15 out of contact with the cam 14 and the claw out of engagement with the film. The lever 7 is, for this purpose, urged by a spring 10 into contact with a pin 12. When the door 3 is closed, after a magazine is inserted, the pin 12 is depressed; the lever 7 retracted and the feed mechanism operates normally.
