703,958. Mounting terminals; carrying conductors through partitions. PHILIPS ELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES, Ltd. Feb. 8, 1952 [Feb. 12, 1951], No. 3386/52. Classes 36 and 38 (1) A wiring support for use at high voltages, comprising a solderable metal part, e.g. a bushing 2, Fig. 1, is secured to a supporting plate 1 jointly with one or more cup-shaped screening bodies 3. The body 3 is externally rounded and, to obviate pointed particles of solder adhering to its surface, is made of non-solderable material, e.g. aluminium. Conductive synthetic resin or a non-conductive substance with a conductive coating may alternatively be used. The bottom surface of the body 3 is made slightly conical to ensure that the outer edge beds down on the supporting plate 1; it is attached to the plate, which is of insulating material, by means of the part 2, which comprises a seamless flanged bushing. Alternatively, in Fig. 2 (not shown), the screening body 3 may itself be formed as a bush and attached to the plate 1 by flanging. As applied to a metal mounting plate, insulating washers 12, 13 are interposed between a pair of screening bodies 10, 11 and the plate 9, which is provided with a large clearance hole.
