Abstract

697,070. Printed circuits. ERIE RESISTOR CORPORATION. Dec. 21, 1951 [Jan. 11, 1951], No. 29957/51. Class 36. A multiple element circuit component comprises a support of high dielectric constant, metal coatings on opposite faces of the support providing a condenser, a further metal coating on the face of the support providing a shielded area, a glaze of low dielectric constant overlying said further metal coating and a resistance element on the glaze. The support may comprise a ceramic plate 1 having a metallized coating 2 over one surface. The other surface is metallized to form condenser electrodes 3, 4 and 5 and a shield 9. The shield 9 is covered with a glaze 11 of low dielectric constant, on which metallized terminals 12, 13 are provided. Stripes 16, 17 of resistance material such as graphite are deposited between terminal 12 and plate 4 and between terminal 13 and plate 5.
