Class 116 [Also in Group VI] Each fruit 23 is squeezed between one of a battery of fluid and pedal operated pistons 72 and convex bottoms 19 removably set in containers 11 the juice passing through filters 12 into a glass placed under each funnel 12<SP>1</SP>, all being mounted on a stand constituting a serving bar containing in its base the fluid pressure operated system and control pedal 16 to depress the pistons which when exhausted of pressure are raised up by springs 9. The convex bottom 19 has radial grooves underneath to allow the juice to run through with projections to trap the solid matter which can be removed when the bottom 19 is lifted out. The pedal 16 operating a pump 15 delivers pressure oil through pipes 17 and 18 to the top of the pistons, the oil exhausting back through a valve 20 to an cil supply container 13 supplying oil through pipe 14 to the pump. Leakage of oil on to the fruit is prevented by the skirt 7<SP>4</SP> of the piston. The machine may be operated by compressed air instead of oil. Figs. 8 and 9 (not shown), show another form of pumping system to supply pressure oil through a pipe to operate the fruit squeezing pistons. Depression of pedals 40, 41, Fig. 13 (not shown), raise pistons to suck oil beneath them. On release of the pedals such oil is held in by spring-pressed balls. Then either or both pedals are depressed again allowing the pump to be charged with oil. A third pedal 44 (not shown) presses the caps.
