[Also in Group XXXI] In a vehicle body, a mounting for a spare wheel 18 comprises an arm or linkage system 15 removably supporting the wheel at its free end and pivoted at its other end on an axis 14 within or adjacent to the luggage compartment, and is capable of being swung to bring the wheel from the stowed position to an out position on or adjacent the ground. The wheel lies adjacent to the walls or roof of the luggage compartment when stowed, and means 20, 22 are provided for locking it there.
