Abstract

699,633. Sewing &c. RUSSELL - LACEY MFG. CO., Inc. Sept. 20, 1949, No. 24150/49. Class 112. [Also in Group IX] Embroidery. - A reversible pile fabric is formed by inserting at spaced intervals in a base material 73 doubled strands 74 of pile yarn of uniform length to extend from both faces of the material, the strands being cut on the side of the material on which they bridge the intervals, or on both sides, to form chenille ends 76. In the form shown the loops on part of the fabric are inserted from one side and the rest from the other side to produce a pattern, and the parts of the strands on opposite sides of the material are different in length. The fabric is produced by the machine described in Specification 699,657.
