A cylindrical or cup-shaped capacitor with a ceramic dielectric is mounted by means of a split metal ring 2 soldered to the outer electrode 1 with tags 3 secured to conductive or insulating support members, e.g. rods 6, Fig. 1, or metal strips 11, Fig. 2. In Fig. 1, instead of being screwed to the mounting plate 10, the rods 6 may be cemented therein. The strips 11 flanged to the tags 3, Fig. 2, are integral with a support plate 12.
