Class 38 (v) [Also in Group XXIX] A control mechanism for adjusting a pressure actuated control member, e.g. an electric switch or valve 15 actuated through a lever 17 pivoted at 18 on a framel by a temperature responsive element 22, has a spring 28 biasing the lever against the element and pivotally connected at one end to the frame by a screw 34 and nut 35, a bracket 38 connected to the other end of the spring and engaging an arm 30 of the lever with point contact, e.g. through a roller 39, the roller being movable, e.g. by the cable 44, over an arc 41 on the arm having its centre at the pivotal connection of the spring to the frame whereby the leverage of the spring may be varied.
