697,961. Pendulum balances. JAMIESON (GLASGOW), Ltd., J. March 5, 1951 [May 22, 1950], No. 12702/50. Class 143 In a pendulum balance, the pendulum arm 12, the load supporting arm 19 and arm 23, linked to a dashpot piston 26, are secured to a boss 7 which is pivoted in bearings 11 carried at the top of the dashpot cylinder 1. The arm 12 carries a pointer 14 co-operating with a bevelled scale 15 which is secured to a support member 17 at 16 only. The base 2 is supported on two fixed points 3 and a levelling screw 4.
