Abstract

583,991. Weighing-apparatus. DEUTSCH, H. Sept. 13, 1944, No. 17453. [Class 143] In a "Semi-Roberval" weighing scale, the weighbeam 1 is pivoted at 2 to the scale base 4 and the goods pan 11 is carried by a bridge piece 9, loosely pivoted on one arm of the weighbeam, and having a depending pillar 12 pivotally connected, at its lower end, to the base of the scale by a stay 14. As shown in Fig. 4 the stay, 14 is apertured at 15 for loose engagement with slotted portions 16 of bifurcated plates 17, one plate being adjustably secured to the lower end of the pillar 12 and the other plate secured to a member 13a vertically and horizontally adjustable on the scale base 4. The load is balanced by an indicating poiseweight movable on a rack bar 5 connected to the ends of the weighbeam, which may be provided with an adjustable poiseweight for taring purposes.
