In a building-block comprising outer and inner portions 1, 2 connected by metal ties 4. embedded at their ends in vertical ribs 1a. 2a. on, the. portions 1, 2, the outer face 8 of the block is inclined outwardly and formed with a lip 9 at its lower end to overlap a block below. Some or all of the' faces of the block may be slightly inclined as at 16 to facilitate moulding. A wall junction block, Fig. 2, is of T-shape, the stem 13 of which has a through aperture 14.
