Abstract

696,416. Stencilling-apparatus. DANE & CO., Ltd., SIMMONS, E. L., and BROWN, C. F. Nov. 10, 1950 [Nov. 22, 1949], No. 29875/49. Class 100(ii) [Also in Group XXV]' A silk screen printing frame 10 is connected to a base I by a pair of hinges capable of affording fine adjustment of the frame in all directions. One hinge comprises a leaf 12 attached to the frame and mounted on a hinge pin 13 by means of a socket 15 which is flanked by collars 17, 17a fixed to the pins, and a leaf consisting of parts 14, 21 adjustable relatively to each other in a direction normal to the hinge axis. Part 21 is attached to the base and part 14 is mounted on the hinge pin by means of sockets 16, 16a. A screw 25 engages a nut 29 pivotally connected with part 14 and is loosely fitted in a bearing 26 on part 21, the bearing being flanked by a collar 28 fixed to the screw and the knurled head 27 of the latter. The parts 14, 21 are clamped together by means of a knurled nut 24. The ends of the hinge pin are screw-threaded to receive knurled nuts 19, 20 adapted to effect adjustment of leaf 12 axially of the hinge pin. In the other hinge the collars 17, 17a are omitted and the nuts 19, 20 are replaced by a pair of collars fixed to the pin.
