Abstract

A chamber-like device, in particular for physical and/or chemical treatment of fibrous material with gaseous treatment media preferably flowing from jets, consists of a treatment space, if desired double-walled, with an arrangement for drawing through a length of the material 22 to be treated, there being provided in the chamber, channels 10 and 11 with rotary apparatus 4 and 5 for directly sucking off the gaseous agent from outflow channels near <PICT:0695582/IV (c)/1> the jets 8 and 9 and for guiding it in closed circulation over heaters 6 and 7 to the jets.
