Abstract
693,608. Photographic cameras; lens diaphragms. VITARAMA CORPORATION. Feb. 18, 1952, No. 4256/52. Classes 97 (i) and 98 (i). A camera for taking pictures to be projected as a mosaic includes a plurality of lenses with inclined axes and supports, for the mounts thereof, slidable in guideways to focus the lenses, diaphragm controls on the separate mounts being simultaneously adjustable, through flexible motion transmitting connections by a common adjusting device on the fixed part of the camera. Each diaphragm shown comprises overlapping apertured plates 35, 38 secured respectively to blocks 27, 29 engaged with lead screws 24, 25, carrying meshing gears 31, 32, to move the plates equally and oppositely. The three diaphragms are coupled by flexible shafts 44, 50 to meshing gears 45, 48 and operated by a knob 55 or by a handle, secured to a shaft 60, through step-up gearing 57, 53. A gear 54, loose on the shaft 52 and driven from a gear 58 on the shaft 60, projects from the casing to act as an indicator. The supports 11, 12, 13 for the lens mounts 15, 16, 17 are adjustable for focusing by eccentrics which may be coupled for simultaneous operation. The lens mount supports, particularly of the outer lenses, may also be adjustable transversely.
