Abstract
1495060 Stereoscopic photography LAW CHI YIN 22 Dec 1975 [25 Dec 1974] 52443/75 Heading G2A A camera for stereophotography having a lenticular screen adjacent to the photo-sensitive material position has means for moving a diaphragm aperture parallel to the screen, driven by a first motor, and means for moving the screen parallel to the photo-sensitive material position driven by a second motor. As shown, a rectangular objective lens 21 is mounted in a front frame 20, carried by a cylindrical support 31. A rear frame 26, for carrying the lenticular screen, a focusing screen and the photo-sensitive material holder 81, is carried by a holder 34 slidable on another cylindrical support 32. Support 31 slides telescopically inside support 32, so that frames 20 and 26 can be adjusted axially with respect to each other and to an intermediate frame 29, to which they are connected by bellows 27, 28. A variable diaphragm having a central aperture 41 (seen more clearly in Fig. 8 (not shown)) is mounted on a plate 38 in the front frame 20, and can be set to any desired value by a setting dial. The plate 38 is supported between shielding curtains 53, 54 which wind round drums 51, 52. These are rotated simultaneously by a motor-drive chain 63, so that the diaphragm is drawn across an opening 55 which supports the objective 21. The lenticular screen is located in the rear frame 26, and initially a focusing screen is inserted into the holder 81 and brought into close contact with the lenticular screen. The diaphragm is brought into its central position, and the focus adjusted. The focusing screen is then replaced by a film holder containing the film to be exposed, which is also then brought into close contact with the lenticular screen. The screen is mounted so that it can slide laterally, and is driven by a second motor. The two motors are synchronized, and have the same output velocity, but act through respective reduction gear mechanisms, since the diaphragm has to move a larger distance than the screen, e.g. 8 cm as compared with 0À3 mm.
