Abstract

A refractory composition comprises barium titanate in an amount substantially equal to but not less than 96 per cent. and the remainder lead titanate or lead oxide. It is polarized at a temperature equal to or greater than the Curie point. A temporary binder, e.g. halowax in carbon tetrachloride, is added to aid pressing, the pressed bodies then being fired.
