Goaf is fed from hopper 6 by conical wheel 3 to air jet 7. which discharges the goaf into pipe S. Wheel 3 is provided with seals 13, is adjustable vertically by nut 17 for wear, and is driven by a motor through gear 5. Wear plate 2 is fixed to casing 1 which is rotatable on base 9 by means of screws working in slots 10. Slots 18 in wheel 3 reduce wear.
