Abstract

692,201. Glasshouses. PARSONS, R. G., and LISH, R. J. Feb. 15, 1951 [April 13, 1950], No. 9172/50. Class 20(i) A glasshouse has a series of aligned posts along each side supporting rail members C on which run grooved wheels E, H mounted on side and roof lights respectively. The members C are of channel section, the wheels E running on the outer flange D of the rail C, and the wheels H on the inner flange D. The wheels are bolted at F, K respectvely to the side light G and to an angle member M fixed to the roof light. Depending sides R of members M serve to guide the wheels H, and an adjustable bracket Q secured to opposed members M by a tie bar L prevents lifting of the roof lights. Where multi-span glasshouses are used, the lines of posts are positioned bemeath the guttering joining adjacent spans.
