A securing device for fixing a windscreen wiper with a spring loaded arm b carrying the wiper blade a to one end of an oscillatory actuating spindle e, comprises a hollow boss d screw threaded internally to receive a screwed sleeve f which accommodates one end of the spindle e. A clamping collar g has two or more slots j and is deformed to grip the spindle when pressed endwise by the sleeve f.
