Abstract

690,127. Mixing appliances. ELECTRIC & MUSICAL INDUSTRIES, Ltd. Oct. 15. 1951 [Oct. 13, 1950], No. 24999/50. Class 86 An appliance suitable for creaming butter or the like, preferably in small quantities comprises a rotatable element 8 for insertion into the open end of a container 1, the rotatable element consisting of a rod or the like shaped to form two or more similar helical portions 11, 12 interconnected by a portion 13, all said portions extending closely to the internal surfaces of the container. The appliance described is adapted to be driven by the mixing machine of Specification 670,543, for which purpose the rotatable element 8 is secured to a disc 9 having an upwardly extending spindle 7 engageable with a driven sleeve in the mixing machine, the spindle 7 being journalled in a cap 2 which carries an upstanding spindle 17 engageable in a fixed socket in the mixing machine. The cap 2 and container 1 are secured together by means of a bayonet connection and when the appliance is attached to the mixing machine it is possible to remove the container 1 without displacing other parts of the appliance.
