Abstract

850,891. Hand mixing appliances. RAND, S. D. July 1, 1959 [Dec. 24, 1958], No. 41689/58. Class 86 A battery operated hand-held mixer has a motor casing 10, 11 from which depend beaters 37, 38 carried on hollow shafts 34, 36 which are geared together (see Figs. 3, 4, not shown) so that they counterrotate; the beaters 37, 38 describe intersecting paths. A U-shaped wire 41 passing through the hollow shafts supports the beaters. The dry batteries are accommodated in a container 12 which also serves as a handle and a switch 19 is brovided on the motor casing. A U-shaped wire 59 (see Figs. 2 and 4, not shown) is attached to the motor casing to serve to suspend the appliance from a hook and to limit its depth of insertion into a utensil.
