Abstract
690,078. Walls; building blocks. BAILEY, M. G. May 25, 1951, No. 12253/51. Class 20(iv) and 87(i). A concrete tile or block wall is erected on a framework of wooden uprights E by means of metal clips D fastened to the framing and shaped to engage between the overlapping horizontal joints of the assembly. The blocks A are rebated in from the front face along the upper horizontal or vertical edge and in from the rear face along the other edges so that they overlap to form a flush surface. A groove C is formed at the corner of the rebate along the top and bottom edges of the block. The clip has a ledge d' from which project a downward flange d<SP>2</SP> and an upwardly extending tongue d' at each end for retaining the flange of the lower course block and the rear of the upper course block respectively. The bottom course may be supported by brackets F.
