690,057. Thread tensioning device. NAAMLOOZE VENNOOTSCHAP ONDERZOEKINGSINSTITUUT RESEARCH. Aug. 31. 1950 [Oct. 17, 1949], No. 21546/50. Class 120(ii) A thread tensioning device comprises a fixed flat tensioning member 2 and a rigid shoe 3 rotatably connected to the end of a loaded rigid arm 5 which hinges on a fixed spindle 6 and is such that the shoe 3 is constrained to . rotate with respect to the arm 5 around a spindle 4 which is parallel to, and on the same side of the member 2 as, the spindle 6. The loading of the arm 5 may be by means of a spring 7 and the device is preferably arranged so that during tensioning of the thread 1 the angle a is not more than 10 degrees and is preferably 5 degrees.
