688,442. Electric panel heaters. AKSJISELSKAPET PROTON. June 8, 1951 [June 14, 1950], No. 13611/51. Class 39(iii) A panel heater comprises a back plate 3, a front plate 5 detachably hooked to the plate 3 at the top at 16, a lower wallmounting 6 adapted to lock the back plate 3 to a lower flange on the front plate 5, and fastening means, e.g. a screw 9, below the bottom of the panel, for connecting the mounting 6 to the wall. There are two mountings 6, one at each side of a centrally positioned junction box 4 on the back plate 3, and each mounting 6 comprises an inverted U-shaped member the front leg 10 of which passes through a passage formed by a plate 11 welded to the back plate 3, see Fig. 2. An end part 12 of the leg 10, of reduced width, passes through a slot in a lug 13 welded to the bottom of the front plate 5. To separate the plates 3, 5 it is first necessary to remove the screw 9 and lift the mountings 6 out of the parts 11, 13. For stowage, the rear arm 7 of the mountings 6, which is of reduced width, is inserted upwardly through the slot in the lug 13 and behind the plate 11, the arm 10 then lying in front of the panel. The rear plate 3 is conventionally supported at its upper edge.
