Abstract
278,770. Crabtree, J. A. May 12, 1926. Plug couplings.-Wall-boxes for couplings, &c. are provided with detachable and adjustable unitcarrier plate,s, the adjusting or levelling devices being accessible from the front and being independent of the detachable fastenings which cooperate with bayonet slots or the like in the plate so that it is necessary only to slacken the fastenings to remove the unit-carrier plate. In one construction, Fig. 1, the carrier plate a is provided with bayonet slots f countersunk at their necks for accommodating the heads of fastening screws g, levelling screws h<2> projecting into holes in the plate and being provided with shoulders h<1> upon which the plate is seated. In another construction, Fig. 3, a flanged closure frame i sockets into and rests on the edges of the wallbox which may be provided with a. metal anglepiece j to give secure anchorage to the levelling and listening screws g<1>, h<2>. The frame i may be provided with open slots i<2>, Fig. 5, for receiving the levelling screws which in this case are grooved so that the frame is then to the wallbox.
