Abstract

377,027. Switch causes. MARNAY, M. L., 12, Rue Vernier, Nice, France. Oct. 9, 1931, No. 28075. Convention date, Dec. 5, 1930. [Class 38 (v).] A sunk box for flush-mounted fittings is formed from a sheet-metal blank and has a raised portion 10 in the base. Below slots 17 in the base are arranged nuts 19 that slide in a waterproof channel-shaped cover 20, this adjustment allowing the fixing of fittings having differently spaced mounting screws. The nuts are held frictionally by a flat spring 21 in the channel 20. The box has apertures 14 in sides 13 that are formed with projections 16 and recesses 15. These enable two or more boxes to be assembled together, or a coverplate 24 or cable inlet 23 to be applied to the apertures 14. Anchoring projections 11 are pressed from the other sides and a lining 12 of insulation is provided.
