Abstract

436,306. Switch cases. ALLDAY, N., The Nest, Streetly Lane, Four Oaks, Warwickshire, and BAIN, R., 25, Beaudesert Road, Handsworth, Birmingham. April 14, 1934, No. 11269. [Class 38 (v)] A wall box for electric switches comprises a shallow pressedmetal box 5 adapted to be screwed to the brickwork and surrounded by the plaster. At two opposite sides the casing is extended at 8 and provided with inlets 9 for cable conduits 10. Further cable inlets 12 are provided in the back. The box has a flange 6 which is bent inwards at 22 to form springy claws adapted to snap over the edge of a switch box 19, which is a push fit in the wall box 5, and hold it in position. The switch may be that described in Specifications 398,322 and 401,939.
